Are You Sure?

How are we ever sure of something?

I am sure that my car is parked where I left it.

I am sure that this chair I am sitting in will hold me.

I am sure that the letters I am typing will show on the page.

I am sure that I will breathe again right after I take this next breath.

To be sure is to trust. To trust, one must have a history of knowing that the person or thing can be trusted. Stepping out in faith might just be the action of initial trust or trusting once more.

Who do you trust?

What I am sure of is that I trust God. I trust in the Lord and I try to do good. I rest in Him and He gives me the desires of my heart.

When I began to choose God over choosing myself, my desires began to come to fruition. My desires and passions have been instilled in me since I was a child. I have always loved being active. I have always enjoyed moving and getting things done.

BOOM! Check that off of the list.

Being productive meant I was being good. Doing good pleases the Lord right? Well, yes, but there is more than doing good. (IMO)

To be able to do good and not get exhausted from doing good, to not tire in doing good, I must slow down. I need to stop, take some time, and dwell with the Lord. To learn how to trust in Him and rest with Him meant waiting. In the waiting, I grew closer to Him and I did not have to wait long, because He desires to give me the desires of my heart.

He is burning with passion to see me fulfill the passions of my heart.

When my desires align with His desires (when I decide to partner with Him), my purpose can be fulfilled for this day. This is the only day I have, but I live with expectant hope for what lies ahead. What lies ahead is the fulfillment of a dream coming to pass. Have you ever had a dream come to pass? Know anyone who has ever had a dream come to pass? Well, if you have not known anyone yet, you do now!!!

The dream begins at the dawn of a new day.

I had a dream. The dream was to fly, a desire to grow closer to God, and to go on a mission. The dream is coming to fruition. Why is this dream coming to fruition? Well, because I was sure that God gave me the dream. I was sure that God gave me the desire. How did I know it was from God? I know it was from God because my life is aligned with His will, and when my life is aligned with His will, I know it is Him fulfilling the desires and passions of my heart. What is your dream?

"The thief comes only to steal, kill, and destroy" 😈

“I have come that they may have life, and life more abundantly”
— Jesus (John 10:10)

The story of life abundantly is only just beginning. Why? Because I have only just begun to fully submit to the Lordship of Jesus Christ as my LORD and SAVIOR. Up until almost a year ago, I was living life, but it was not an abundant life. My life is full of joy and I laugh daily with God. There are so many pleasures with God. I used to always correlate pleasure with something negative, and not God. “In His presence is fullness of joy, and at His right hand are pleasures forevermore”. (Psalm 16:11) A relationship with Christ is full of joy and pleasure.

Do you feel as though your life is being stolen, killed, or destroyed? Are you ready for fullness of joy and pleasures forevermore?

Let me introduce you to someone who can give you abundant life, fill you with joy, and allow you to have pleasure forevermore, even beyond your time on earth.

His name is Jesus. Oh, how I trust Him. He has proven Himself over and over, time and time again. I trust Him and as a result of trusting Him, I get to do this dream that He has given me.

Oh, and to answer the question: Are you sure? It is His Blessed Assurance that allows me to know that I am sure.

Send me a message if you want to learn more about Jesus and how you can learn more about Him.
